Political Context
In August 2020, Brazil was still dealing with an increasing amount of deaths from Covid-19 and Bolsonaro, the alt-right President of Brazil at the time, was blocking the purchase of vaccines. To justify his incessant questioning of its effectiveness, he stated: "In the Pfizer contract, it's very clear: 'We're not responsible for any side effects.' If a woman starts to grow a beard or if a man starts to speak with an effeminate voice, they [Pfizer] won't have anything to do with it. If you turn into a crocodile, that's your problem.”
Idea
Embrace the absurdity of his comment and combine it with a very well-known Brazilian meme: the "gostoso demais" meme. We add this expression, which means it is a super cool thing to do, to an activity that is generally criticized. Then, turn the meme into a t-shirt so we could get our vaccines dressed up for the occasion.
Repercussion
Several friends were also interested in the idea. So the t-shirt became a kit: with stickers, pins, and more importantly, a flyer with 10 reasons to defend the Brazilian Universal Public Health System - SUS. After a month and a half, 120 kits were sold.
